
Jeanne Perdue

After earning a BS in Chemistry from SUNY at Albany, Jeanne Perdue started her 43-year oil industry career at the Texaco research labs as a Chemist. She then worked as an oil journalist for Hart’s E&P magazine and Upstream Technology magazine. After serving as Technical Writer at Oxy for 14 years, Jeanne retired to write her novel. A Distinguished Member of SPE, Jeanne garnered a $250,000 professorship donation from the SPE Gulf Coast Section for the PetE Department and currently serves as Secretary for the PetE Advisory board. She also established the $25,000 Friends of Jeanne Scholarship Endowment, a perpetual scholarship to help deserving UH students finish their engineering degrees.
